Convenient hotel to stay at in Civitavecchia the night before our cruise. The continental breakfast was good.
The bathroom was very small. It was 35c degrees out and the air conditioning was limited. It is a 3* hotel, definately not a 4*
Location near port, clean room and comfortable
Air conditioner was not cooling at all!!!!
Everything except its price (125 Euros per night) andhe extra charge to use the wi fi
Good "night before the cruise" stop. Otherwise Civitivecchia not much of a lace to stay
Tired -- restaurant closed
Friendly staff and close to port from which we were to cruise.
every staff is friendly and helpful for all direction.
there is a bar next to the hotel, and people got loud late at night.
For someone departing on a cruise from Civitavecchia the location is near perfect. It is only 100 meters from the train station and another 200 to the shuttle buses that go to the ship. That saves 20 to 40 Euro in taxi fares. I stayed there in late October (end of the cruise season) and the hotel showed some expected wear and tear from the summer but nothing I wouldn´t expect to be spruced up by spring. The saff were all very congenial and helpful. There were plenty of moderate priced restaurants in the immediate vicinity of the hotel. I would stay there again.
hotel was fine, almost next to the train station, room was very clean, and the free breakfast was good.
The location is superb to food, bars, railway station, ferries and view.
Helpful staff, nice rooms with lovely ocean veiws.Close to resturants and walking distance to shops.
The location was good, close to the station and to the port, since we had made a stopover to board the cruise. The evening lady at the reception was helpful with directions and maps. Though the check-in staff was cold and should have been more welcoming, he did help help us change our room to a sea view, when asked.
The hotel like many other in Civitavecchia (and in fact in Italy) are overrated. It was nowhere close to a 4 star. The breakfast spread, which included some eggs are bacon, needed to be replenished regularly. The buffet trays were empty for a long time, and should be topped up at short intervals especially on days of the cruises, since hotel occupany is high.
It met our expectations...a good stopover hotel for one night...
the bedsd were hard and pillows not too comfortable
Ok, it's really close to railway station just 200m on the right from main entrance. But... Cappuccino was great at breakfast, but choice was really poor.
But I don't recommend you stay at this hotel. Price and quality doesn't suit to each other. Hotel de La Ville set in a 19th-century building, also rooms and staff (like dussiroom and waterbasin look like old enough and don´t work properly, also water from basin leaked to the floor). The TV is really old (I don't know how many years ago it was bought), the satellite have only italians channels +only 1 english BBC. Breakfast is very poor. Ok for Italians and people from South is enought to have a cap of coffee and croissant. But choice wasn´t good, all the time the same. In front of the building is being built some building or something else. Beaches in Chevitaveccia are very bad. we had to pay on the 1 day for staying there, no choises.
Convenient to train station
No sign outside. Had to cross the street to identify the hotel.
It was close to the railway station and between the station and the port. The over-pressed staff did their best under the circumstances.
The hotel was drab, seedy and in need of a complete refurbishment. There were too few staff on duty and these were over-pressed. The breakfast was dismal, with the smallest possible buffet plates and small disposable plastic cups for the fruit juices. This hotel is fit for no more than a quick one night stay and at that represents poor value for money.
